Internship is always exciting in the beginning simply because it gives you the “i finally have something to do” feeling. Of course besides the too much television watching, eating and sleeping which gets boring especially for someone like me who has a 4months long holiday.
Its no wonder i can’t seem to forget the excitement i had earlier this year on 5th January because internship was finally here for me…..but i can’t deny the fact that i was nervous,i mean….am only human so i will consider that normal.
Anyway let me save you the boring details of how it all began…straight on to the real reason for writing this post… fast forward (7weeks later). So time has gone by very fast though at the moment it feels like such a huge drag!!
The explanation is simple, the honey moon of being new at my place of internship is long gone (sob*sob). People’s true colours are finally splashing all over the place…the guy who was so sweet in the beginnig, always looking out for you to see if all is going on well acts like you just mysteriously disappeared in thin air.
The person who was always directing you to where you can make yourself a warm cup of tea doesn’t seem to care anymore. The boss who was so amaizing in the beginning making sure you learn all you have to just won’t stop yelling at you now.
The guy who was always willing to sacrifice his seat and computer for you to use now just flees that very minute he realises you are heading his direction. The chic who was always complimenting your hair, necklace, top now simply can’t help giving you that evil-eye look!!!
Talk about life taking a U-turn haha….anyway i can’t entirely blame them!! It is evident we have over stayed our welcome because who in this world offers you internship for three whole months….and you wonder why you’re finally seeing the real side of everyone,it’s because they are fed up of your presence…it’s not rocket science!!!
Am stuck with that one chic i never ever saw myself talking to maybe because she was always quiet in the beginning and gave the “i am too busy for you” impression, which i may have wrongily interpreted with my “i am too cool for you” attitude. Now we are like the best of friends who just won’t leave eachother’s sight!!!
#TALES OF AN INTERN….giggles in mute <hihihi> lest i capture the attention of the yelling boss who expects me to be working on that “news story” but she has no idea am blogging (story of my life)
